A teenager has been charged after allegedly possessing a knife at a bus station in Fife.

Police were called to Glenrothes bus station at around 6.35pm on Monday following reports of a youth with a blade.

Officers charged a 15-year-old in connection, and he will be reported to the relevant authorities.

No one was injured during the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.35pm on Monday, July 14, 2025, police received a report of a male youth in possession of a knife in the Postgates area of Glenrothes.

“Officers attended and the 15-year-old was charged in connection. He will be reported to the relevant authorities.

“No one was injured.”
