A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after two men were seriously assaulted in Aberdeen city centre.
Emergency services were called to Bon Accord Square shortly after 3am on Sunday.
A 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were taken to hospital having suffered serious injuries.
STV NewsA 16-year-old boy appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
He was charged with attempted murder, and assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
The teenager, from Aberdeen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also faced charges including the misuse of drugs act, and having an item with a blade or point in a public place.
He made no plea and was released on bail.
