iStockPolice are investigating the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Angus.
The alleged attack happened in the Meadowbank area of Arbroath at around 9.40pm on Monday night.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the serious sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in the Meadowbank area of Arbroath, which was reported to police around 9.40pm on Monday, 31 January, 2022.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
