A teenager has been charged amid an investigation into a series of indecent incidents within a cemetery.

Police appealed for the public’s help following two complaints at Eastern Cemetery in Arbroath, Angus, on Tuesday, September 15.

At around 6.20pm, a man approached two 11-year-old girls and after speaking to them briefly, urinated in front of them.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with a public indecency and an indecent assault in the area of Eastern Cemetery, Arbroath, in the past ten days.

“He has been released from custody on an undertaking to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court at a later date.

“Enquiries are continuing regarding a number of similar incidents.”
