A teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after a crash involving an e-bike and a car in Dundee.

Police were called to a collision in Fintry Drive, near to Fintryside after 7.35pm on Saturday, August 17 involving an off-road electric motorbike and a grey Fiat 500.

A 16-year-old boy, riding the bike, was treated at the scene by ambulance crews before being taken to Ninewells Hospital.

The teenager’s condition is described by hospital staff as being critical.

A 66-year-old woman, who was driving the Fiat, was uninjured.

The road was closed for around five hours to allow an investigation to be undertaken.

Constable Christopher Williams is appealing for anyone with information, saying: “Our inquiries are ongoing, and at this time we believe three off-road electric motorbikes had been seen in the area at the time shortly before the incident.

“Anyone who was in the Fintry Drive area around the time of the incident, particularly anyone with dashcam or mobile phone footage, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3321 of August 17, 2024.”
