A teenager has been taken to hospital following a “serious” crash involving a motorbike and car in Dundee.

Officers were alerted to the incident that happened on Rankine Street around 5.55pm on Sunday.

Police confirmed that a 15-year-old male passenger of the bike was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.

The force added that the motorcycle rider left the scene and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Chief Inspector Colin Echevarria said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would ask that anyone who witnessed the motorcycle driving in a dangerous manner prior to the crash to please get in touch.

“We would also ask to review any CCTV or dashcam footage from anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash.”
