A teenager has been seriously injured after being involved in a crash with a car while riding an e-bike in Dundee.
Police were called to the incident involving an electric motorcycle and a black Volkswagen Polo on Blackness Road at the junction with Elliot Road around 12.35am on Friday.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 17-year-old male, was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The 17-year-old male pillion passenger of the e-bike and the occupants of the Volkswagen were uninjured.
The passenger of the motorcycle was later arrested in connection with a matter unrelated to the crash.
The road was closed for around six hours to allow enquiries to be carried out and reopened around 6.25am.
Sergeant David Farr said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash, and I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please contact us.
“In addition, anyone who was driving in the area and has dash-cam footage which may assist is asked to get in touch.”
