Teenage boy arrested and charged after man attacked on street

A teenager was arrested and charged after a man was attacked on a street in Fife.

Officers were called to Rannoch Road, in Methil, after receiving reports of a man, 26, being assaulted during a disturbance at around 11pm on Wednesday.

A 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Enquiries remain ongoing at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, we were called to a report of a disturbance and a man assaulted in Rannoch Road, Methil.

“The 26-year-old man did not attend hospital and a 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection.

“Enquiries continue.”
