A teenager has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious assault that left a man in hospital in Moray.
Officers responded to reports of a serious assault around 2.20pm on Monday on East Church Street, Buckie.
A 54-year-old man was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment following the incident.
Police have now confirmed that a 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with the assault.
Enquiries into the incident are “ongoing”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with a serious assault which happened around 2.20pm on Monday, April 1, 2024 on East Church Street, Buckie.
“A 54-year-old man was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.
