A teenager was arrested and charged after a 14-year-old was assaulted in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services were called to Ellon’s town centre at around 9.25pm on Tuesday after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted.

The teenager did not require hospital treatment.

A 16-year-old male was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.
