Two teenagers have been charged with allegedly breaking in to a shipyard and setting off distress flares.

The 13 and 15-year-olds are alleged to have sparked the pyrotechnics after gaining access to the property on Commercial Street at Buckie Harbour on Monday, August 21.

Police responded to the incident but the youngsters had already left the area.

They were later traced and have now been reported to the Youth Justice Assessor.
