A police appeal has been launched after thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to a castle in Perthshire.

An investigation has been launched after £3,000 worth of damage was caused to the windows at Balvaird Castle in Glenfarg.

The castle was built in the late 1400s, with significant additions made in the 1500s.

It is believed the damage was caused between Monday, February 5, and Wednesday, February 7.

Investigating officers are asking anyone with any information to contact PC Lewis Millar via 101, quoting incident number 1845.
