Three men have been charged with drug offences over the death of a teenager who became unwell at a house party in Dundee last year.
Emergency services were called to Dudhope Gardens in Dundee on March 4, 2023 at around 5am after receiving reports that a person had fallen ill.
Lennix Hughes, 16, was rushed to Ninewells Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
At the time, police said they were treating her death as unexplained.
On Friday, three men aged 18, 19 and 35, were arrested and charged with drug offences in connection with the death, police confirmed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following enquiries into the death of a 16-year-old girl in Dundee in March 2023, three men, aged 18, 19 and 35 have been arrested and charged with drugs offences.
“They have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A fundraiser set up to support Lennix’s family at the time of her death raised more than £30,000.
