Three drug dealers have been jailed for their part in an organised crime gang operating out of Perth.
George Crone, Maximillian Donovan and Blayne Gray were jailed for a total of five years and four months at the city’s Sheriff Court on Thursday.
The trio had earlier admitted to using a county line tactic to supply drugs between Crone’s home city of Perth and Liverpool, where Donovan and Gray are from.
Crone, 37, was sentenced to one year and 11 months, 28-year-old Donovan for two years and Gray, 24, for one year and six months.
Their arrests came following an intelligence led police operation that resulted in the seizure of almost £80,000 worth of heroin and over £48,000 of cash.
Detective Inspector Julia Ogilvie of the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit said : “One of our key priorities is to tackle serious and organised crime and those involved in the supply of drugs onto our streets in Scotland will not profit from this.
“Drug supply causes so much misery in our communities and we remain committed to identifying county line activity in our local communities.
“We need the public to keep passing on information so we can disrupt these criminals.
“If anyone has any concerns regarding the abuse of controlled drugs, or anyone who may be involved in the supply of controlled drugs, they are urged to contact Police.”
