Three people charged in connection with death of 'deeply loved father, son and brother' in Aberdeen

Three people have been charged in connection with the death of a man in Aberdeen in November last year.

Police were called to a report of the death of 44-year-old David Prystajko at a property on Marquis Road on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Two men, aged 27 and 32, and a 43-year-old woman have now been arrested and charged in connection with the death, police have confirmed.

They are expected to appear before Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, July 13.

Mr Prystajko’s family described him as a “deeply loved father, son and brother”.

In a statement they said: “He was a caring and loving person, and the grief experienced due to this unexpected loss has been unimaginable.

“There has not been a single day that David has been out of our thoughts, and he will remain in our hearts forever. We continue to wake everyday with horrible thoughts and feelings, caused by his loss.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Police Scotland for their dedication in the enquiry and for the support they have provided our family throughout this incredibly traumatic time.

“As we continue to grieve, we kindly ask that our family’s privacy be respected while we allow the legal process to take its course.”

Detective inspector Andy Machray said: “Our thoughts remain with David’s family during this difficult time.

“Incidents of this nature can understandably cause concern for the local community, and we’d like to thank the public for their support during this investigation.”
