Google MapsThree women are in hospital with serious injuries following a two-car crash in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A952 near Toll of Birness at around 1.05pm on Thursday.
The crash involved a blue Volkswagen T-roc and a white Suzuki Ignis.
The women, aged 81, 51 and 20, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
The road remains closed.
Sergeant Sarah Ritchie from the North East Road Policing Unit said: “Enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone who may have dashcam footage of the road at the time to come forward.”
