A toddler has been found to be “safe and well” after being “slapped” at a bus stop by a woman in Dundee.
Officers were alerted to the incident, involving a female child, at a bus stop on South Road on Monday around 1pm.
Police said the child was “no more than four years old” and was “extremely distressed and upset” following the incident.
An appeal was subsequently launched to trace the child, who has since been traced safe and well.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
Constable Conor Burton said: “We are grateful to members of the local community for assisting with our enquiries.
“The public can be assured that any such reports will be fully investigated to ensure the welfare of potential victims.”
