Part of a busy highway had to be closed on Wednesday morning after a herd of cows got onto the road.
The animals were on the A92 central reserve at Portlethen near Aberdeen.
They were first seen on the carriageway at around 7.20am, causing the road to be closed southbound at Old Stonehaven Road as police moved the cows into a nearby field.
The road reopened again at around 8.30am, although drivers were warned that traffic was moving much slower than usual.
Traffic Scotland said: “The cows in the central reserve near Portlethen have been moved into a field.
“Southbound has reopened but traffic remains heavy in the area in both directions.”
