The family of a dad who died while out a bike ride have said they will “miss him forever”.
Kevin Young was cycling on the B9119 near Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire, when he took ill.
Emergency services were called at 11.25am on January 15, but the 60-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family said: ““Kevin was a wonderful husband and father with a passion for cycling. We shall miss him forever.
“Many thanks to all the motorists who stopped to help him, the Torphins Practice GPs, ambulance crew and ARI trauma team.
“We are so grateful for their efforts.”
Police officers started an investigation into Mr Young’s death, initially appealing for witnesses. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
