A Tunisian hotel security guard attacked two teenage girls from Dundee on holiday with their family.
The girls, aged 13 and 17, were at the Delphin El Habib in Monastir when they were approached by a staff member who tried to kiss and grope them on September 25, 2025.
The hotel confirmed to STV News that the security guard, Hedi Majdi, was arrested by Tunisian police following the incident, and the family were sent on a flight home
Majdi, who was not present at a court hearing, was sentenced to four months in jail on February 24 for the attacks and ordered to pay damages of around £385 to the victims.
SuppliedHe has ten days to appeal the sentence. If an appeal is not lodged, an arrest warrant will be issued.
STV News understands that two other women from the UK were also attacked on the same night.
At the time, the Foreign Office confirmed they were aware of the incident and a number of families were being supported.
