Two men who have been arrested are among three in hospital after a disturbance allegedly involving a hammer in Fife.
Emergency services were called to Windmill Road in Kirkcaldy around 11.30pm on Friday to a disturbance.
Three men aged 53, 40, and 24 were taken to hospital for treatment.
Two of the men, the 24-year-old and 40-year-old, have been arrested in connection with assault.
It is understood a hammer was used during the incident.
Officers say enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.30pm on Friday, October 17, 2025, we received a report of a disturbance in Windmill Road, Kirkcaldy.
“Emergency services attended and three men aged, 53, 40 and 24, were taken to hospital for treatment.
“The 40-year-old man and the 24-year-old man have been arrested in connection with assault and enquiries are ongoing.”
