Two due in court after 'bladed weapon' recovered by officers

Two men are due to appear in court after police recovered a bladed weapon from a street in Aberdeen.

Officers were called to Tillydrone Terrace in the city just after 7pm on Monday following reports of a man in possession of a weapon.

Police attended the scene, and two men, both aged 21, were arrested and charged.

The bladed weapon was recovered by officers.

The two men are due to appear in court this week.

A police spokesperson said: “Around 7.10pm on Monday, September 7, we received a report of a man with a possible weapon in the Tillydrone Terrace area of Aberdeen.

“Officers attended and was two men aged 21 were arrested and charged in connection. They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, September 8.

“A bladed item was recovered.”
