Two people are fighting for their life after a collision between a van and a car on the A84 left three in hospital.
Officers were called after a white Volkswagen California van collided with a white Vauxhall Crossland close to the road’s junction with the Old Military Road, near Balquhidder, at around 3.50pm on Thursday.
A 67-year-old man and a 61-year-old female were taken by Air Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where staff describe their condition as critical.
The 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was taken by Ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, where his condition is described as stable.
Officers confirmed that enquiries into the crash remain ongoing and have asked for any witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Colin Morrison from the Road Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the cause of this crash.
“I would appeal to any witnesses to the crash or anyone who was driving on the A84 in that area shortly before the crash took place to contact us.
“Officers can be contacted through 101 quoting reference number 2176 of September 8.”
