Two people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Aberdeenshire.
One person was taken by helicopter and another by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the collision on the A96.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 5.40pm on Thursday to attend a road traffic collision on the A96.
“We dispatched two ambulances, an air ambulance and our trauma team to the scene. We transported two patients to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, one via road and one was airlifted.”
The A96 was closed for several hours.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.40pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023, officers were called to reports of a three vehicle crash on the A96 to Huntly road near Siloch.
“Emergency services attended and a 54-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary via air ambulance. A 53-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
“The road was closed for approximately six hours and reopened around 11.50pm.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
