Two men and a woman have been arrested as part of a day of action targeting “county lines” drug supplies in Peterhead and Merseyside.
Detectives said the men, aged 39 and 27, and woman, aged 37, were arrested in Peterhead and Merseyside on Wednesday and charged in connection with various drug offences.
Police said small quantities of cocaine and diamorphine, worth an estimated £5,000, were recovered during the operation.
The men and the woman were expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Detective sergeant Steven Young, of North East Division CID, said “I would like to thank our colleagues at Merseyside Police with their assistance in this investigation.
“We remain committed to disrupting those involved in operating and benefiting from the supply of illegal drugs in the North East of Scotland.
“We rely on information from the public. If anyone has any concerns regarding the abuse of controlled drugs or those who may be involved in the supply of controlled drugs, contact Police on 101.
“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
