Two men have appeared in court after armed police responded to a disturbance at a flat in Angus.
Emergency services were alerted to reports of an assault in a property on Warddykes Road in Arbroath at around 8.50am on Tuesday.
Police, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service were all in attendance.
On Wednesday, Rory Starkey appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court charged with two counts of threatening and abusive behaviour, culpable and reckless conduct, vandalism and attacking a police officer.
The 29-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
Dean McKiddie also appeared in court charged with two counts of threatening and abusive behaviour, culpable and reckless conduct, vandalism and attacking a police officer.
The 25-year-old also faced a further count of assault to injury.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
The pair are due to make their next appearance in court within the next eight days.
