A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged double stabbing of two men on a street in Arbroath.
Emergency services were called to Glenogil Drive at around 7.50pm on Thursday, after receiving reports of two men being seriously assaulted.
Both men were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment to stab wounds.
Officers confirmed a 48-year-old man was traced nearby and arrested in connection with the incident
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 7.50pm on Thursday, March 14, police were called to a report of two men being seriously assaulted in Glenogil Drive, Arbroath.
“Officers attended and two men were taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
“A 48-year-old man was traced nearby and arrested in connection with the incident.
“Inquiries are continuing.”
