Two men have been taken to hospital and a cow has been put down following a road crash in Perth.
Police were called to the A9 in Perth on Tuesday around 7.10am following reports of a crash near the Broxden Roundabout that let the animals loose on the road.
A black Audi A6, white Ford Transit van and a silver Isuzu D-Max towing a trailer with cattle on board were involved in the collision.
The two male drivers of the Isuzu and the Audi were rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where they are being treated for injuries.
One cow was euthanised at the scene as a result of injuries caused in the crash.
The carriageway was closed while emergency services worked at the scene and reopened around 10am.
Constable David Gray of the Road Policing Unit said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of this crash. I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist our enquiry to contact us.
“We are also keen to obtain any dashcam from motorists driving on the road around the time of the crash.
“Anyone with information should contact officers through 101 with reference number 0393 of January 17.”
