Two people have appeared in court have appeared in court after a woman fell from a Dundee flat block window on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to Spey Drive at around 8pm following the reported incident.

A 30-year-old woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. Steven Thompson, 47, and Kimberley Welsh, 44, both appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with assault to severe injury.

Thompson made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear in court within the next eight days.

Welsh made no plea and was granted bail. Her next court appearance has not been confirmed .
