Two people have been rescued from the River Dee after getting into difficulty in the water.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to reports of two males in difficulty at Potarch Bridge, near Banchory shortly before 12pm on Wednesday.
Two appliances and two water rescue teams were mobilised to assist the casualties.
Both were rescued from the water and then handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.41am on Wednesday, January 4 to reports of persons in difficulty at Potarch Bridge, Aberdeenshire.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances and two water rescue teams to assist two male casualties.
“Both were handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left shortly after.”
