Two people have been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle collision on the A90 on Tuesday morning.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that the carriageway near Boddam is closed in both directions following the incident.
Drivers were advised to use alternative routes while all three vehicles were removed from the road.
Emergency services were alerted to a crash at around 7.30am with two people being taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of a crash involving three vehicles on the A90 near Boddam around 7.30am on Tuesday, November 7.
“Two people have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the vehicles have been moved off the road.”
