Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the A90 on Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Philorth, Aberdeenshire, at around 6.03am after reports of a two-car collision.
Two ambulances were deployed to the road south of Fraserburgh and transported two patients to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The A90 was closed in both directions from 6.08am until 9.05am following the incident.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 6.03am to attend a two-car road traffic collision on the A90.
“Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and two patients were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
