Two schoolchildren have been charged following a fire at a derelict church building in Angus.
Six fire engines were sent to the scene of the blaze at the former Maison Dieu Church of Scotland building on Witchden Road in Brechin on March 5.
Firefighters spent about eight hours tackling the flames.
The Maison Dieu Church of Scotland building was listed as “at risk” by the Buildings at Risk Register for Scotland and dates back to the 1800s.
Police confirmed on Wednesday that two teenagers, aged 13 and 14, have been arrested and charged in connection with the fire.
Detective constable Greig, Angus CID said: “I would like to thank members of the community for assisting us with our enquiries. Those responsible will be reported to the relevant authorities.”
