Google MapsTwo people have been rushed to hospital following a crash involving ten vehicles in Aberdeenshire that forced the closure of a road for more than five hours.
The air ambulance was deployed to the A96 between Inverness and Aberdeen after the incident at around 7am on Wednesday morning.
Emergency responders including five ambulances and four patient recovery vehicles were also mobilised alongside two fire crews.
One person was taken to Jubilee Hospital in nearby Huntly while another was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The road reopened at 12:30pm, according to Traffic Scotland.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Around 7.40am on Wednesday, March 8, we received a report of a crash involving a number of vehicles on the A96 south of Huntly.
“Emergency services attended and the road fully reopened shortly after 11.40am.”
