Unexplained death of woman being investigated after body found in home

Police are investigating a woman’s death after her body was found inside a house in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services were called to the property in the Leslie Crescent area of Alford, at around 3.45pm on Monday.

Officers have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course, Police Scotland said.

A spokesperson for the force said: “The body of a woman was found at a property in the Leslie Crescent area of Alford, around 3.45pm on Monday, June 12, 2023.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
