A vulnerable woman from Dundee who went missing in Italy while on holiday has been “found safe”, her family have confirmed.
Lisa Cairns, 44, had not been seen since after fleeing her accommodation in Naples’ Palazzo Mastelloni at 8am on Tuesday, June 27.
Ms Cairns, who has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, had left without her medication, money, or any other belongings.
On Friday, her mother, Flo Jenkins, announced that she had been traced and was getting checked over by the emergency services.
She wrote on Facebook: “Lisa has been found she is safe.
“Police and medical staff are checking her now will update later, just wanted to say she is safe.”
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office have been contacted for comment.
