JasperImageA woman has died in hospital following a fire at a property in Moray.
A 71-year-old was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital on Monday after a fire broke out on Alba Place in Elgin around 11.30pm on Monday.
The woman was later pronounced dead.
Police say the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.30pm on Monday, March 17, 2025, we received a report of a fire at Alba Place, Elgin.
“A 71-year-old woman was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital, where she later died.
“The fire is not being treated as suspicious.”
