A woman has died in hospital days after a crash involving a car and a lorry in Moray.
The crash occurred on the A98 around 12.25pm on Tuesday, January 14 near Buckie and involved an HGV and a red Nissan Micra.
The driver of the car, a 78-year-old woman, was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
She died on Friday, January 17.
The 58-year-old male HGV driver was uninjured and later arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.
The A98 was closed for around 12 hours to allow for crash investigations to take place and reopened at 12.20am on Wednesday, January 15.
Sergeant Lesley Morrison said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased and they have asked for privacy at this sad time.
“Enquiries remain ongoing as we work to establish how this collision happened.
“Anyone with information or dash-cam footage should get in contact, no matter how insignificant it may seem.”
