A woman has been charged after two dogs “attacked and killed” 80 ducks and four sheep at a farm in Moray.
Officers were alerted to the first attack at Mayne Farm in Elgin on Monday, September 12, in which 80 ducks died.
The second attack occurred a week later at the same farm, on September 19, where four sheep died as a result.
The 42-year-old woman has ben arrested and charged in connection with worrying livestock.
Police Scotland said that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and she is expected to appear in court at a later date.
A statement by the force said: “A woman has been arrested and charged in connection with worrying livestock on a farm after ducks and sheep were killed by two dogs in Elgin.
“On Monday, September 12, 2022 at Mayne Farm, 80 ducks died. Four sheep were also killed on Monday, September 19, 2022 at the same location.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the 42-year-old woman is expected to appear at court at a later date.”
