A woman has been charged in connection with the death of another woman following an incident in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Aberdeen.
Emergency services responded to reports of an injured woman at an address on Auchinleck Road, in the city’s Tillydrone area, at around 2.30am on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she died a short time later.
The force confirmed that a 30-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
She is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 30-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman in Aberdeen.
“Around 2.30am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, officers were called to a report of a 34-year-old woman found injured at an address on Auchinleck Road.
“Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where she died a short time later.
“The 30-year-old woman is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, April 18, 2024.”
