A woman has appeared in court charged with murder after a man’s body was found in a high rise flat in Aberdeen.
Police were called to the scene in Marischal Court at around 1.20am on Monday, where a man was pronounced dead.
Officers said the man had not yet been formally identified and the investigation into the death was ongoing.
Elizabeth Sweeney, 35, of Aberdeen, appeared at the city’s sheriff court on Tuesday.
She made no plea and was remanded in custody.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man in Marischal Court, Aberdeen on Monday, 26 June, 2023.
“She is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The man is still to be formally identified and enquiries are ongoing.”
