STV NewsA woman has died after being seriously injured on a street in Dundee.
The woman, in her 30s, was injured on South Road around 4.25pm on Saturday.
She was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been made aware.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection.
Police say the incident was contained and have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
STV NewsDetective superintendent Peter Sharp, the officer in charge of the inquiry, said: “My thoughts are with the woman’s family at this time and there is no doubt this was a distressing incident for those who witnessed and attended the incident.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing and I am satisfied that the incident has been contained and there is no wider risk to the public.
