A woman has died and three people have been injured in a two-car crash near Huntly.
Emergency services were called to the A96 at the junction with the A920 around 6pm on Sunday following the crash between a grey Peugeot 208 and a blue Volkswagen Passat.
A 53-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and three other people were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with non-serious injuries.
The road was closed for around ten hours while investigations were carried out.
Jasper ImageSergeant Dave Cooper from Elgin Road Policing said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who has died.
“Enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
