A woman has died and another has been arrested following an incident in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Aberdeen.
Police were seen to have cordoned off an area at an address on Auchinleck Road in the city’s Tillydrone area.
At around 2.30am, emergency services were called to the address to a report of an injured woman.
The 34-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she died a short time later.
Police have arrested a 30-year-old woman in connection with the death and said enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.30am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, we were called to a report of a woman injured at an address on Auchinleck Road, Aberdeen.
“Emergency services attended and a 34-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
“She died a short time later.
“A 30-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the death.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
