A woman has died in hospital days after a crash involving a dropside lorry in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the A980 Torphins to Banchory road around 8.50am on Friday morning.
The crash, near Kennerty, involved a red Ssangyong car and a Mercedes dropside lorry.
The 73-year-old female driver of the car was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries, where she later died on Sunday.
The driver of the lorry, a 36‑year‑old man, was not injured.
Sergeant Sarah Ritchie, of the North East Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the woman who has died and her family have asked for privacy.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
