A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being struck down by a car in Dundee.
The 57-year-old was involved in the collision at around 5.30pm on Friday on Gillburn Road.
Emergency services closed off the street after the crash involving a black Vauxhall Zafira car.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Gillburn Road was reopened just over five hours later at 11.15pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 5.30pm on Friday, 11 November, 2022, a 57-year-old woman pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries when she was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall Zafira car on Gillburn Road, Dundee.
“She was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
“The road reopened at 11.15pm.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances around the crash.”
