A 25-year-old woman is in a serious condition in hospital following a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Aberdeen.

Police were called to a collision between a blue Yamaha motorcyle and a grey Mercedes on Great Northern Road at its junction with Fullarton Court, near the Haudagain Roundabout, at around 8.15pm on Saturday.

A woman, who was the pillion passenger on the motorcycle, was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where medical staff describe her condition as serious but stable.

No one else involved in the crash was reported to have been injured at the time.

Sergeant Peter Henderson of the Roads Policing Unit in Inverurie, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle in the area prior to the crash. We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant dash-cam footage.”
