A woman who died in a serious car crash that saw two men and children taken to hospital has been named.
Rebecca Tasker was killed in the collision on the A90 in Perth and Kinross on Friday.
The two men and two children in the car with the 32-year-old suffered injuries but survived.
“Our thoughts remain with the family of Rebecca at this very difficult time,” said road policing sergeant Strachan.
Emergency services were called to the scene near to Errol at around 11.05am on Friday where a black Nissan Micra had crashed.
Despite the efforts of rescue personnel Ms Tasker, a passenger, died at the scene.
The four other occupants; a 29-year-old man, a 20-year-old man, a 7-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.
The A90 was closed for around six hours while Police Scotland carried out a full crash investigation.
Officers said they were conducting an extensive investigation and appealed for witnesses to the fatal crash.
Sergeant Strachan said: “Enquiries are continuing into the incident.
“Anyone who may have witnessed it or has dash-cam footage which could assist in our investigation is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number quoting 1349 of August 12, 2022.”
