A climber had to be rescued after becoming stuck on a cliff above the sea.
The Coastguard and Kinghome RNLI Lifeboat team were called to aid the woman between Shell Bay and Earlsferry in Fife at around 2pm on Saturday.
She had become stuck on the side of the cliff above the Elie Chain Walk – a ferrata, a kind of protected climbing route that features cables and railings to help aid climbers and reduce risk of falls.
The Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat team was training at Burntisland on Saturday when the call for help came from Kincraig Point.
Within 30 minutes the team was at the scene, and stood by while the Coastguard set up cliff rescue equipment to recover the casualty.
Coastguard Rescue Teams from Leven, St Andrews and South Queensferry performed a rope operation to recover the woman.
The woman was brought to the top of the cliff safe and well by about 4pm.
Anstruther RNLI Lifeboat was also called to aid, and both boats were stood down afterwards,
