Woman taken to hospital after home deliberately torched

A woman has been taken to hospital after a home in Perth was deliberately set on fire on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a home on Parkhead Gardens at around 10.30pm after reports of a blaze.

The flames were extinguished, and a woman was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives are treating the incident as wilful and are following a positive line of enquiry.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026, we were made aware of a fire at a property on Parkhead Gardens in Perth. 

“Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished. One woman was taken to hospital for treatment. 

“The fire is being treated as wilful and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
